Established in 2006 and officially registered in 2007, I-Afrika Theatre Education is a distinguished organization headquartered in Tsakane - Ekurhuleni, Gauteng, South Africa.

From its inception, the company has been a trailblazer in promoting arts education and cultural enrichment initiatives, becoming one of the few professional theatres owned and led by young black creatives in the townships. With a mission to transform the arts landscape and integrate it into the mainstream economy, I-Afrika Theatre Education is committed to nurturing artistic talent while driving economic empowerment and job creation among creatives.
